Dr. Uwe Schwiersch DPT holds degrees in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, as well as Education from universities in Australia, Germany, and the Boston/USA.

Uwe believes his biggest and most successful asset is his comprehensive knowledge and the ability to thoroughly assess a patient to get to the core of the problem. In addition to his analytical mind he also uses techniques that are second to none. He is the only ART® (Active Release Techniques) qualified Physiotherapist on the Coast and has treated many patients successfully and with long term results. His knowledge in Shockwave Therapy is comprehensive. He is a member of the International Society for Medical Shockwave Therapy, with over 6 years experience in the treatment of Shockwave Therapy for an extensive variety of injuries and health issues. He is an excellent Therapist, highly knowledgeable, intuitive and always works with a comprehensive approach. 

 

Dr. Uwe has worked nationally and internationally in leading position. His knowledge is sought after in Europe particularly Germany, Switzerland, Iceland as well as Dubai (UAE) and North America. He has supported elite athletes over the years in areas such as triathlon, soccer, athletics, rugby, dancing, ice hockey, kayaking among others.

For many years he has been supporting the Australian Defence Force as a contract health practitioner at their RAAF Base at Tindal/NT.
